The Robin's Nest :: About Us

The Robin's Nest Childminding Service first registered with Ofsted and opened its doors in September 2006 and has welcomed several babies and toddlers to ‘join in the fun’ allowing them to interact with other children and adults, gain realistic experiences and be well cared for in a safe home environment.

Its success is thanks to the commitment and dedication of Angela Robinson who has always been involved with children and is supported by her husband Andy and their young daughter Fearne. Angela completed her Introduction to Childminding Practice (ICP) level 1 and gained a distinction for her hard work.

The Robin's Nest was developed to include other children, as well as their own, to have the opportunities to experience indoor and outdoor activities these include arts & crafts, toddler groups, parks, play gyms, libraries and many more. The children are invited to be involved in various cultural celebrations. We have a well structured and carefully planned routine for all the childrens individual needs. It aids a child’s development, educates them and enables them to have fun at the same time, whilst promoting good manners, behaviour and discipline.

Here at The Robin's Nest we have devised a menu where all the children are offered a wide variety of home-cooked foods mainly of an organic origin, it is always flexible and tailored to each childs likes & dislikes, allergies, ages & stages and ethnic background. Our menu promotes the 5 a-day government guidelines.

We also take in to consideration and value the need for each child’s time to rest or to personal space. We have created areas for this purpose and provide comfortable & safe facilities for the children to rest, feeling calm, safe & secure.

We aim to create a well balanced life style for your children and a healthy relationship between The Robin's Nest and of course the equally important parent.
